The Town of Hamburg Police Department is a full service department providing the complete public safety needs of the community, including Police Protective Services, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Police and Fire Dispatch and Dog Control Enforcement Services.  For information about administration and personnel, please click here.

The Town of Hamburg Police Department is a New York State Accredited Police Agency and provides 24/7 coverage for the approximately 60,000 residents covering an area of approximately 48 square miles. Within the department are specialized units, which provide a higher degree of expertise, meeting the needs of the community.

The mission of every member of the Town of Hamburg Police Department is to consistently find ways to promote, preserve and deliver a feeling of security, safety and quality services to every person that we make contact with.
As members of the law enforcement profession, our fundamental obligation is to protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of everyone and to enforce fairly the Laws of New York State and the United States Government.
In order to achieve and sustain public order, we are committed to a partnership with the citizens and community that we are sworn to protect and proud to serve. We are committed to treating the public with the upmost respect and working with them to achieve our goals
