Hamburg is located on the shores of Lake Erie, just 20 minutes south of the City of Buffalo. In addition to providing excellent recreational options, we offer ample shopping and fine dining. Residents find employment in industrial and service industries within the Town and Metropolitan Buffalo. Police and fire protection, along with highway, sanitation, recreation, sewage services and facilities, are provided for the area by the Town or special districts under the supervision of the Town Board. The Villages of Blasdell and Hamburg are contained within the Town's boundaries.
Minutes away from Hamburg, you have Canada and Niagara Falls to the North; winery tours, Amish Country and the Chautauqua Institute to the South; ski resorts and amusement parks to the East and over 9,000 square miles of fishing, boating and water sports to the west. The Buffalo Niagara International Airport is only a 20 minute drive from Hamburg, on the New York State Thruway. The 2020 Census is HIRING! See below!
The 2020 Census Campaign will occur in three phases:
1. Awareness/Education Phase (Jan. 14 – March 12):
Builds immediate awareness and provides educational information about the 2020 Census.
2. Motivation/Participation Phase (March 13 – May 20):
Inspires and motivates the public to complete the 2020 Census questionnaire online, by phone, or by mail.
3. Reminder/Non-Response Follow Up (May 13 – June 28):
Continues to remind people to respond to the 2020 Census and to support census takers
as they go door-to-door to count households that have not yet responded.
